Lot of 5 klixon temperature switches ac dc 16VDC 600VAC

The contacts are rated for 10,000 make/break cycles at the following voltages and amperages:
Note that the figures above relate only to the life of the contacts , and not to the opening and closing behavior of the switch. The contacts open and close based on the switch temperature, however the switch temperature is influenced not only by the ambient temperature (air temperature around the switch) but also by resistive heat generated from the electrical load being controlled by the switch. Put simply, a switch operated inside a freezer will handle more amperage than one fastened to a car radiator. However, when the electrical load controlled by the switch increases to the point that the load itself is heating the contacts, the contacts will get hot and trip even if the switch is packed in dry ice. Hope that makes sense but if not, the manufacturer explains further with a couple of charts:

Automotive accessory motors, solenoids, etc.
In order to achieve optimum heat transfer from the protected medium or ambient to the thermostat, the 7AM has been designed with the case connected to the bimetallic disc. However, this features also makes it necessary to electrically insulate the 7AM from the mounting surface. Typically, this is accomplished with a Mylar sleeve available in 0.006-inch thickness, and marked with the part number.
