RA-0M REPEATER ADAPTOR FOR MOTOROLA RADIOS
* Mic Plug on Transmit Cable for wider compatibility with more TX radio models.
Want it with Dropout Delay? Please check out the RA-1M . Click on MRE Direct , above.
Introducing the RA-0M Repeater Adaptor. This handy device converts two Motorola mobile radios into a one-direction repeater. Signals received by the RX radio are retransmitted by the TX radio (not vice-versa). If you want to repeat signals in both directions (signals received by one radio are re-transmitted by the other and vice versa), please check out the RA-2, Bi-Directional Repeater Adaptor (click on MRE DIRECT, above).
RA-0M IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE FOLLOWING MOTOROLA RADIO MODELS:
The TRANSMIT radio can be any one of the following: 16-pin Radius, 16-pin Maxtrac, GM300, M10, M120, M208, M216, M1225, SM50, SM120; or CDM750, CDM1250, CDM1550, CDM1550LS+, CM200 *, CM300 *, PM400 *; or 5-pin Radius, 5-pin Maxtrac, Maratrac*, M400*,
* If the transmit radio is an M400 or Maratrac, the transmit cable connects to the programming port inside the radio. No radio modifications (other than a hole for the cable to exit) are required. On other TX radio models listed above, the transmit cable connects to the front mic jack.
After first verifying active-low COS on Pin 8 of the receive radio as described above, plug the RX cable from the RA-0 into the 16 or 20-pin receive radio. On 16-pin radios requiring a jumper wire across pins 15 & 16 to enable the radio's internal speaker, install a 2-inch jumper wire (2 included in the kit) between pins 15 & 16 of the plug.
On 20-pin (CDM) radios, the speaker jumper wire is not needed. Simply insert the RA-0's 16-pin RX plug into the radio's 20-pin jack, leaving 2 unused radio pins on either side of the plug. The 20-pin jack on the CDM radio is designed to accept either a 16 or 20-pin plug (a 20-pin plug is only needed for applications that use pins 17 thru 20). The 16-pin plug and 20-pin jack fit perfectly and are keyed (mistake-proof). They can only go together the correct way.
Connect the other cable to the mic receptacle of the transmit radio (programming receptacle inside the radio for M400 & Maratrac).
