We turned it on with all the cable ends connected and Outputs E and F had low-intensity, continuous arcing from the center to the shield (see photo). We removed those output connectors and started turning knobs, then another channel would arc over and we would remove that output cable. We kept removing arcing output cables until ALL SIX channels had proven (the hard way) that they can put out at least a couple of kV. Then we were able to turn up all the channels so they indicated at or just under 30kV. This unit is designed for a specialized piece of equipment, so the four knobs control the various outputs in different ways but all knobs have some effect. Please NOTE: a couple of the meters are sticky, but respond when tapped by hand.
