Vtg 1942 coleman electric co. electrometer model 3DPH
VINTAGE 1942 COLEMAN ELECTRIC COMPANY ELECTROMETER MODEL 3D pH WITH DIRECTIONS. An electrometer is a device used to measure the charge or potential difference of electricity. It is essential in finding the voltage between 2 places in the electrical circuit. Not sure how or if it works.
On the tag it says, "Inst. No. 3263, Model 3D, Coleman Electric Co. Inc; Maywood, Ill. Pat.Pend." It measures in D.C. Milliamperes. The leather handle is in good shape. The case measures almost 12" x 7 1/2" x 9 1/2"Tall. The box is in good condition with 2 small cracks in the wood. Case opens fine. The hinge is a little rusty. The tag on the handle is hard to read. All that I can make out is Harshaw Scientific 10-5-42. Boxed up, it weights 13.9 lbs.I am not sure if it works or not.
