Twin relay with I2C interface

Twin Relay with an I2C Interface - BV4502
This is a dual relay that can be controlled from a standard I2C interface thus freeing up valuable microprocessor resources.
The circuit incorporates a special delay feature so that a timed on or timed off can take place after the command is issued, it can therefore control power to the equipment that is issuing the commands. The full datasheet for this product can be found at http://www.byvac.co.uk/bv/datasheets/BV4502-DataSheet.pdf
* I2C interface up to 400kHz
* SPDT relays Switched 5A DC and 10A AC
* Power 2.4mA no relays on
* Screw terminals for external equipment
The I2C interface consists of 4 connections, of which, two are used as a power supply. The connection details are as follows:
There is a simple command protocol whereby a command is issued with extra bytes if required. As an example to turn on relay A is command 1, therefore the following sequence of bytes is required:
<1><1>.
The first <1> is the command and the second <1> is to turn the relay on, 0 would turn it off thus:
<1><0>.
In addition to just turning the relays on and off there is a delayed on and delayed off command, so that a command can be issued to turn on relay A for example and this will not be carried out until a timer has counted down to 0. This could be very useful for switching off equipment that the relay is attached to.
There is also available the same board but with an IASI interface (BV4501).
