Zeiss microscope objective - cp achromat 5X/0.12
The CP Achromat series of objectives is a high performance, economical objective from Zeiss. They feature good color correction, high image contrast and brilliance, and freedom from astigmatism. However, they are not flat or "plan" corrected past a field of view of 18mm. They are normally recommended for use on microscopes with 18mm or 20mm field of view eyepieces. If you are using a Zeiss microscope with widefield 23 or 25mm field of view eyepieces, the objective will work fine but you will notice significant out of focus information at the edges. Please be aware of this limitation.
