Thunderbolt gps 10MHZ frequency standard w/power supply

Using the Trimble Thunderbolt GPS disciplined frequency and time standard is one of the simplest and most affordable ways to obtain both a highly accurate 10Mhz standard frequency and 1 PPS that have accuracy referenced to the U.S. national standard at NIST (National Institute of Science and Technology). Many frequency counters, synthesizers, and other pieces of test equipment have a connector on the back to allow you to connect an external 10Mhz standard and increase their accuracy (and stability) greatly. If you are multiplying r.f. into the Ghz region a highly accurate and stable reference frequency is a must. The 1 pulse per second from the Thunderbolt can be used for many timing purposes.
The included switching power supply operates from 100-240vac and supplies +5vdc @ 2A, +12vdc @2.3A, and has an added output of -12vdc @.05A for the RS232 port. The included supply is underutilized so the +5vdc and +12vdc can also be used to supply distribution amplifiers, displays, or anything else you might want to build into the same unit.
Inputs Power +5vdc/0.25A, +12/0.75A (cold), -9 to-12vdc/2ma (for RS232)
Signal 1575.42Mhz from a GPS active antenna ( F connector)
Outputs 10Mhz sine wave disciplined to the GPS atomic standards. (BNC)
1 pulse per second square wave 10us wide, 5v amplitude (BNC)
RS232 for computer interface (9 pin D) using pins 2,3,and 5
The above graph shows various Thunderbolt parameters on a laptop display screen during the first 6 hours from power on. The program used to create this display is called Lady Heather . Within 45 minutes (2 horizontal divisions), the unit has reached high accuracy as shown by the white horizontal trace (10Mhz) where one vertical division is equal to 200PPT (parts per trillion /10E-12).
This Thunderbolt is a late model unit from 2004 in excellent working condition with the latest version 3.0 firmware and Trimble high stability ovenized 10Mhz crystal oscillator. Included is a new uncased switching power supply with cable and the proper mating connector for the Thunderbolt. All you have to do is mount the power supply and Thunderbolt in an enclosure, supply a.c. power, and connect any amplified GPS antenna that runs on +5vdc to the Thunderbolt. The antenna connector required is a commonly available TV antenna type F connector. You supply the antenna, case, and power cord.
The included CD has software to talk to the Thunderbolt plus the Trimble Thunderbolt 142 page user guide in PDF format.
