Designed with real world applications in mind, the PPS Series will not only meet your expectations, they'll exceed them! Whether you need a simple source for DC power or you need an elaborate system for long sophisticated burn-in processes, the PPS is the answer. The high tech appearance incorporates a dual LCD display which allows the operator to easily obtain the read back voltage value, output current value, GPIB address, the operating status of the power supply (Local/Remote) and type of error. Via the front panel keyboard, the user can set the voltage, current, delta voltage, overvoltage, enable or disable the output, change the overload protection mode, increase or decrease the output voltage by a user set amount, set the GPIB address, return the supply to local mode, reset the supply in an overload condition, read the error code, set and review the internal timer and start or stop the internal timer program, and timer loop function. Of course for true system performance, all parameters can be controlled over the GPIB interface. You can even query the instrument to obtain its actual settings and output conditions! All PPS Series have three modes of operation. In the Manual Mode, all basic functions may be independently controlled and monitored. In the Delta V Mode, the output voltage may be incremented or decremented in process steps. Using the Delta V parameter, these steps are defined as small as 20 mV. Using the "UP" and "DOWN" keys will cause an automatic change in the output voltage. In the Delta T Mode of operation up to 200 distinctive outputs may be programmed (via front panel or GPIB) and stored in EEPROM memory within the power supply. Using the start/stop capability, up to 2000 hours of voltage fluctuations, output currents and time durations may be automatically recalled and implemented...basically its own built-in controller!
