For Sale is a Power Beyond Kit for additional Hydraulic Valves to run add-ons such as log splitters, backhoes, grapple forks, etc.
We purchased this kit along with a front end loader for our 4010 John Deere and then realized that it will only fit the 4020, 30, 40 series and newer John Deeres and maybe other brands. It does not appear to have ever been installed or used.
With the Power Beyond kit added to your tractor, you will always have live hydraulic oil flow to your additional valve spool without using the existing valves on your tractor. Keeping your existing hydraulics on while using your additional valve spool without the Power Beyond can cause your hydraulic oil to overheat so best to have a system that allows free flow and return to your additional valve spool for running additional equipment hooked up to your valves. Power Beyond not only eliminates the constant pressure on your existing hydraulic system but allows constant circulation through the Power Beyond for your additional valve spool and equipment; therefore no overheating of your hydraulic oil.
This kit does fit the John Deere 4020 and higher series and perhaps more.
WHAT IS POWER BEYOND (HIGH PRESSURE CARRYOVER): A sleeve attachment which permits the oil flow from one valve (when in neutral) to be used by another valve downstream. Hence, a 3-spool valve could be connected to a 2-spool valve to create a 5-spool valve. The first valve takes priority and must have a separate outlet port to return oil from an activator back to the reservoir.
