VIAV300 voltage detector
The VIAV300 Light & Horn Voltage Detector is a combination proximity/direct contact voltage indicator used to verify the status of lines and equipment on voltages 0 300kV line-to-ground, 4kV 500kV phase-to-phase, and incorporates an audible alarm (horn) and a visual signal (light) to indicate the presence of voltage. The unit features a 12-position selector switch which allows the operator to easily select the proper voltage range for the voltage being tested, proximity to 300 kV and a self test function.
Scaling up or down on the selector switch assists the user in identifying the approximate voltage present, nominal or induced. All values shown on the selector switch are line-to-ground.
This versatile detector can be used on URD, overhead lines, distribution and transmission, secondary voltages, capacitive test points and in proximity from the ground.
