3M BREATHE EASY TURBO UNIT, BATTERY, COMFORT BELT & CHARGEMASTER BATTERY CHARGER
This a package that includes an out of the box but unused 3M BREATHE EASY powered air purifying (PAPR) turbo unit with a rubber breathing tube and comfort belt with braces. Also a reconditioned working NiCAD battery and a CHARGEMASTER intelligent battery charger.
The Turbo, Battery and Chargemaster are ex - exhibition stock. The Braces and Breathing Tube have never been used.
This could be used as an operating turbo or for spares to extend the operating life of an existing system.
When fitted correctly to a Breathe Easy headtop ie. original BE1, BE4, BE5 or BE7 and the correct filters, which would complete the system, it provides high levels of respiratory protection against particulates, gases and vapours in accordance with your chosen filters, (prEN146 rev TH3).
With this turbo unit I am providing a heavy duty rubber breathing tube, a NiCAD battery that I have reconditioned and charged using the Chargemaster(This has run for 12 hours without filters so should be capable of an eight hour stint when working with the filter resistance) and the Chargemaster Intelligent Battery Charger.
The 3M Chargemaster is an intelligent and fast battery charger that facilitates good battery management & extends battery life. It helps keep batteries in top condition by allowing them to be fully discharged prior to charging. It can also assist diagnosing battery problems by means of it's fault finding capabilities.
On connection the 3M Chargemaster interrogates the battery to check its type, charge status and condition. This it demonstrates by using four coloured lights and pictograms on the front panel. It will then charge the battery to its optimum level giving a green light when complete. At this point it switches to a trickle charge mode until either the battery is removed from the charger or the unit is switched off. This prevents unnecessary charging and potential battery damage.
Pressing the 'conditioning' button will discharge the battery to a controlled safe minimum level, followed by automatically switching to charging mode. The 3M chargemaster can be used with both standard and intrinsically safe batteries for all 3M systems and batteries beyond the one supplied in this package.
