This is an unwrapping "speed bit & sleeve" designed to unwrap wires of 26 - 20 gauge from wire wrap terminals. It must be used in an unwrapper gun, wirewrap guns that spins the bit counterclockwise. It will fit all unwrapper guns and wirewrap guns or tools as long as the bit can turn counterclockwise. The guns can be a manual squeeze type, an electric type, or a pneumatic type. The part number of this unwrapping bit is R3393A.
This unwrapper bit and sleeve combination will remove wire wrap connections at a very fast pace. This exact tool (not this very one, because this one has never been used) is used by professional installers to unwire and remove large sections of telephone switching equipment when equipment is to be replace. The tip-end of the sleeve is beveled outward to easily guide the bit over the wirewrap terminal.
The unwrapper bit/sleeve is inserted into your unwrapper gun just like any other bit. The smaller outside sleeve will mount under the chuck of the gun the same as normal bits do. This unwrapper is equipped with a spring action helix ejection to kick out the helix coil. The spring action of the bit will eject the helix -or- if it hangs up, you can manually slide the sleeve back to eject it. Very easy and fast to use and will save you lots of time.
This tool is like new, never been used and comes in original plastic tube... just been laying around awhile. It is about 5" long.
NOTE: This bit and sleeve combo does not wrap wires, it only unwraps them.
