This durable and attractive baby changing station (Model AHD107-01) is made of FDA approved, blow-molded, high-density polyethylene (grey in color). It is easy to clean and resistant to odors and bacteria growth. The safety message "Never Leave Child Unattended" is molded into the polyethylene in five (5) different languages.
The station is designed to be surface mounted to the wall using the included wood screws (for wood studs on 16" or 32" centers) or toggle fasteners (for metal studs or concrete block). It folds down horizontally so the the adult is facing the wall while standing along side the table and infant. With a reinforced metal-on-metal hinge running the full length of the station, the AHD107-01 meets all ASTM requirements for static load performance when properly installed. A pneumatic cylinder provides for slow, controlled opening and closing of the bed. Both the pneumatic cylinder and metal hinge mechanism are fully concealed (regardless of bed position) to eliminate tampering and possible pinch hazard.
