I bought this unit along with a few others some time ago from a local fire department. They retired it because they got new equipment and no longer needed this piece. They said that it needed to be calibrated, but otherwise was a working unit. It didn't come with an AC adapter so I used one that I had at the house and plugged it in. It charged for nearly 12 hours and a week later still had the full charge. I powered it on and it runs through some tests for about 30 seconds and they counts down until ready status. Once to the ready status alarms sound and I was told this happens because it needs to be calibrated. I am not an expert and am trying to describe everything the best that I can. This is a 4 gas unit and is sold under the QRAE+ line from RAE Systems.
