AS1475/1101-b self-sealing weatherstrip-2 pc (per foot)

2 PIECE SELF-SEALING WEATHERSTRIP
GREAT FOR CARS-BOATS-TRUNKS-GARAGE DOORS
When I needed to replace the window in a garage door, all I needed was about 4 feet of 2 piece gasket to install a 1/8 inch glass pane. But I couldn't find it anywhere. I ended up having to order 50 feet online. Now I'm offering to you most of the remaining by the foot. I want to keep a few feet for myself.
It was worth the trouble because it is the easiest and greatest fit ever. So if you need to install glass between .125 to .156 thickness and panel between .030 to .065 thickness, just follow the instructions and it's a piece of cake:
1) Start along the side or top of window opening. Fit body channel of weatherstrip over body panel. Cut strip to overlap body panel edge. Continue strip around perimeter or window opening. Cut strip to overlap starting point by 1/8" per foot of window opening perimeter. Bring ends together and force over body of panel. This will insure a tight joint.
2) To ease entry of glass and prevent possible cutting of rubber, apply a solution of rubber lubricant or soap and water, with a small brush, to the locking lip and glass channel. This facilitates insertion of the locking tool and final lockong operation.
3) Starting in lower corner, insert glass panel into channel as far as it will go without forcing. Then with straight end of locking tool (or plastic spatula), lift glass channel lip so that glass channel easily slips into glass channel.
4) Working in both directions from starting point, lift glass channel lip allowing glass to easily slip into position. At final corner use the locking tool to open glass channel to insert remaining glass edge.
5) Filler Strip (AS1101) is inserted into eye of specially designed filler strip installation tool. Eye is constructed so that it will prevent filer strip from twisting.
6) At top, away from strip joint, filler strip and eye of tool are inserted into strip's channel. During first motion of tool. end of filler strip is held into place with thumb.
6) Move tool along channel with zipper-like motion. Filler strip feeds through eye and threads into channel. Rounding corners is easiest when tool is wiggled slightly.
7) When starting point is reached, the tool is removed. Filler strip should be cut to overlap starting point by approximatly 1/4" so that when both ends are forced into place, joint will be under pressure for tight fit.
