1200V 91A Dual SCR for Electric Vehicle, DC Motor, Welder, etc
It is rated at 1200 volts, 91 amps per leg.
The mounting base is isolated from the SCR, making assembly and interconnection easy
If you connect Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 together you will have a 91 amp 1200 volt back-to-back SCR which can be used to control most AC loads. In many cases, a resistor and low current switch connected in series between the two gates make a simple and reliable control circuit.
An advantage of ising SCRs instead of relays to control large loads, particularly inductive loads like motors and contactors, is the lack of conducted or radiated RF noise and interference. This is because the SCR will switch off as the AC load current passes through zero (zero voltage switching), so there is no inductive "kick" which can otherwise occur and cause such problems.
Best to mount them on an aluminum plate or heatsink if you intend to use them anywhere near their rated power
