This listing is for 1 die set (6 main pieces) in good general condition with minimal signs of use and wear, as seen. With only some very light traces of surface rust in places. Includes cutout plate, cutting head, stamping plate, stamping head and two cutting "fingers", as well as two other pieces: a curved metal plate with a spring and a metal plate with a cutout of half of an oval. This die set is to be used with a stamping press machine for manufacturing this design in metal. First, the cutting head and cutout plate is used to punch metal material into the overall shape of the piece. Then the stamping head and stamping plate are used to stamp or emboss a detailed design into the metal piece. This die set features a oval design, as pictured, measuring approx 1-17/32" x 47/64" with the cutout slightly larger. The cutout tool is curved and this can be seen in the photos as well as in the photos of the cutout example in brass. This example looks like it could be used as a metal label or handle for a small drawer, ornamental backing plate. This die set can be used to make jewelry such as pendants or pins. Can also be used with other soft metals for craft applications like trim or decoration for almost any product. This may possibly be used to stamp leather and vinyls though this has not been confirmed and its main application is trim metal. This die set was quality made with precision out of heavy duty steel for years of continuous manufacturer's use. We estimate this was originally used back at-least 50 years ago.
