If your unit functions but blows heat when it should be cooling or blows cold air when it should be heating then this coil may be burnt out! THE HOLE THAT SLIPS OVER THE REVERSING VALVE IS 0.4545" IN DIAMETER - TAD LESS THEN 1/2" AND IT IS 0.95" DEEP. SMALL HOLE IS 0.2115" IN DIAMETER. OVERALL ETAL PART IS 1" THICK, 1.5" WIDE AND 1.4" LONG. REVERSING VALVE IS FOUND IN THE CONDENSOR UNIT - THE OUTSIDE PART OF THE AC / HEAT PUMP. REVERSING VALVE IS THE THING THAT USUALLY HAS FOUR OF THE LARGE COPPER PIPES GOING INTO IT WITH ONE OR TWO VERY SMALL COPPER PIPES COMMING OFF FROM IT.
