Kwik-Chek Hole Gages are designed for the rapid measurement of small plain or counter-sunk hole diameters. The four models available cover a range of hole diameters from 0.010" to 0.380" or from .25mm to 9.50mm. These gages work on the principle of directly transferring diameter measurements from a sliding tapered needle to a linear readout graduated in 0.001" or 0.02mm. These highly versatile gages are especially suitable for measuring small holes in sheet metal, plastics, printed circuit boards, fuel injection nozzles and thin-wall tubing.
No skill required - untrained personnel can make fast and accurate measurements. Rapid and simple calibration - setting master for plain and countersunk holes provided with each gage, Permits rapid periodic check on calibration and field readjustment if necessary by shop personnel. Magnified direct reading scale - permits easy reading of hole diameters. Hardened and plated needle - precision ground tapered needle is made of hardened 52-100 steel and chrome plated for maximum wear resistance. Positive Clutch - locks needle and scale at exact dimension of hole being measured. Completely portable - convenient pocket size and weight makes these gages ideal for roving inspectors and mechanics.
How to adjust the Kwik-Chek Hole Gages
Insert needle of Kwik-Chek into hole of setting standard. Reading at red hair line in magnifier should correspond with diameter reading on setting standard. Adjust if necessary as follows: Grasp lower body of Kwik-Chek in hand with needle pointing down. Unscrew adjusting cap, This is the part with the magnifier in it. Holding scale reading position, turn to right or left until correct reading (corresponding to setting standard) is centered on hair line in magnifier. After adjustment has been made, hold in position and tighten by turning lock nut to lock scale securely in position, Double check accuracy of adjustment with the setting standard.
Use only setting standard furnished with Kwik-Chek gage in making adjustments.
