The IKON CPP 8050 Color Imaging System is designed to revolutionize the way you work with color. Developed and co-branded with Konica Minolta and Electronics for Imaging (EFI), the IKON CPP 8050 offers production-level printing and copying in a workgroup-size device while placing superior color quality, consistency and control at your fingertips. And that s giving more organizations the ability to fulfill a broader range of color applications from booklets and brochures to customized direct mail packages quicker, easier and more affordably than ever before.
All this power requires surprisingly little space. The IKON CPP 8050 employs a vertical tandem design; the main body of the engine measures a compact 30.7 W x 34.5 D x 41 H and weighs only 551 lbs. (much lighter than comparable engines). This design also accommodates a compact 4-drum/4 developer system with an impressive 100,000 page yield.
The IKON CPP 8050 is engineered to help maximize user productivity. With its user-friendly control panel and its easy-access transport unit, the IKON CPP 8050 is simple to operate. An automatic duplex unit comes standard to handle double-sided prints on multiple paper sizes and paper weights. And thanks to the convenience of its Advanced Continuous Toner (ACT ) technology, users can actually remove and replace toner bottles while the machine is operating without interrupting print jobs already in progress.
Equipped with an EFI Fiery S300 print controller, the IKON CPP 8050 delivers powerful, full-color network printing via a 2 GHz processor, 60 GB hard disk drive and 1 GB of standard memory. The Fiery S300 also comes standard with a host of professional color control software, including: Fiery ColorWise Pro Tools, ColorCal , and EFI s Color Profiler for easily creating accurate high quality ICC profiles. With the optional Fiery Graphic Arts Package, graphic professionals have an even greater selection of precision color tools at their disposal.

The IKON CPP 8050 delivers stunning copies and prints in brilliant 600 x 600 dpi resolution (enhanced to 600 x 1,800) and 256 gradations per color. And the IKON CPP 8050 is one of the first high-speed color engines designed with Konica Minolta s highly acclaimed Simitri Polymerized Toner technology, an oil-less fusing system that produces clearer, sharper color and B&W output rivaling that of offset printing.
The IKON CPP 8050 is also the first color model to incorporate the Konica Color Management System (KCMS), a dynamic new technology that makes it easier for users to achieve the desired color output regardless of the type of scanned original being used. Users can select copying modes based on the format of the original (printed, photographic paper, or inkjet) for optimal color reproduction. Using a 3-Dimensional Look Up Table (LUT,) colors are easily converted from RGB to CMYK for high-precision color rendering.
