#1: Contact your county tax office about requirements for a water well pump service business - NOT a well drilling company. This is pump service only. In my county, show up with a check for $35 and that's all you need.
#2: Find out what authority permits water wells in your area. It might be the county health department or a water management office, or other. If you have difficulty, call a water well drilling company and ask them who does permitting for new wells. Call that office and ask how many wells are in your area - or how many wells are drilled each year. That is your market. Don't worry about competition. Competition is good for business.
The training and support are worth much more than the hoist truck. Much more.
The hoist is a Smeal 3T, on a deck with service boxes. It has serviced my company several years, and it should be good for many more. Diesel engine. Mileage unknown. Commercial FORD truck. I will train you to use the hoist.
