There are instructions on the side of the puller which read: Set Up - 1) Mount in holder and bring X axis on center if bar. 2) Bring puller to face of material with Z axis touching the face of material with button head screw. Be sure gripping screws are out of way. 3) Record Z zero 4) Move in Z axis - .500" 5) Adjust screws until touching O.D. of material. 6) After contact with material, tighten screws an additional 1/8 to 1/4 turn. 7) Move puller Z+ off material. 8) Return home, set up complete. Function - 1) Call puller and STOP spindle. 2) Rapid to center of X axis a safe distance in Z axis. 1.0" is good. 3) Rapid Z axis -.500" 4) Collet open. 5) Pull needed distance 6) Collet close. 7) Rapid Z axis off bar. Puller should snap open. 8) Return home.
