they are sometimes called are similar to Aerotech, Aeris Systems, AirCaster, AirFloat,
AirSled, ASE Systems, Hovair, IntelliCaster, Newway, Nelson Air, ROTair Systems,
Solving Inc., in that they all work pretty much the same way. They basically all have
a diaphragm under the load module that inflates and raises or suspends the load on a
thin column of air and allows you to move the load in any direction with a very small
amount of force, pretty much like an air hockey table works. The good thing about
air casters is they float the load on a column of air and thus you don't get any marks
or damage to painted floors and there is no vibration so the load remains stable during
movement, often saving you from recalibrating a machine or inspection equipment.
