Vintage sony 1975 single frequency cb walkie-talkie

Vintage Sony 1975 single frequency CB walkie-talkie
Tonight's listings will include a few more of my family's offbeat collectibles ...
This vintage Sony single-frequency CB walkie-talkie was manufactured in December 1975 ... channel 11 ... 27.085 mhz ... 100 milliwatts ... it takes 8 AA penlight batteries. It is 11 inches long, with a canvas carrying strap.
The radio looks virtually unused, except for some repairable battery corrosion on the spring terminals. It is in working condition.
If I can answer specific questions, I'll be happy to try ...
My in-laws were antique dealers in Elgin, Illinois for years, and they were collectors of almost every kind of historical memorabilia since shortly after World War II. When their second son grew up, he joined PawPaw in his treasure hunting ... and they could always find a lot more interesting items to bring home than they could sell, so they saved them!
I am not a dealer, a collector, or an expert, but I do try to describe each item carefully and fully and to take good photos. If you have any questions about any item listed, please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to find the answer for you.
