I believe this is a NOS Sprague Type G Glass Cartridge Non-Inductive Resistor. I believe the format is metal film and the end ferrules are silver plated.
One end of the Resistor is etched "1500 Ohms". The other end is etched "CSF-63078-F". There is a tag attached that I believe says "R-435 and R436". The box is marked Sprage Contract, 63078 Ohms 1500 with an anchor symbol with US.
