These A4 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 are perfectly sized for your 4 x 6 content (invitations, photos, etc.).
The most common envelope size for 4 x 6 content that you'll see on-line is 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 (A6), which not only leaves large gaps on each side, but the gapping is larger on the top and bottom than the right and left. They're also most commonly bundled in lots of at least 10.
