HEAVY DUTY Bernina model# 807 ZigZag sewing machine (with reverse feed), serial number 14168096, built in Switzerland in 1974. Many call Bernina "The Best of the Best", and I can see why. This machine runs smooth, with loads of power, yet is very easy to operate with it's simple, well laid out controls. Machine shows well with much less than average wear and tear for a machine this age (This machine shows almost as new, all I was able to find on it was a few real small pin chips.), and really lives up to Bernina's reputation for sewing excellence. The person I purchased it from told me her mother bought it 36 years ago brand new, and that she used it only for clothing repairs until she passed away 2 years ago. Solid steel case and internals, make this machine capable of sewing just about anything you can fit under it's foot. Machine has been cleaned and lightly oiled with authentic Singer Machine Lube and has had the timing and tolerances checked and is perfect. 6-30 Stitches per inch, with Reverse. Seven built in utility and designer stitches available at the touch of a single lever. Nice cords and oversize variable speed foot controller (A few chips in the plastic, but they don't affect the functionality at all). Working original light. Steel Industrial Size Bobbins. Feed dogs are lowerable for Darning, Embroidery, and Freehand work. I am including a digital copy of the Bernina 800 series sewing machine owners manual on CDrom in .pdf format. This will guide you through the process of threading the upper needle thread as well as filling the bobbin and selecting the right needle and tension settings for the job at hand. It really makes sewing like a pro easy. Most importantly, it will show you exactly how to lube and maintain your machine so that it will last another 36 years. This machine is 100% ready to go, right out of the box. Everything needed to sew, including needle and thread and the samples sewn in these pictures, will be included in the package.
