This item is not an old heavy magnetic ballast. This item is an electronic ballast. If you want to replace a magnetic ballast with this electronic ballast you MUST change the fixture's wiring according to the diagram on this electronic ballast. Diagram is printed on each ballast by manufacturer. It is a very easy task. All you have to do hook some wires differently inside the fixture.
