You are considering a Bindicator, Roto-Guard II Motion Detector. Ths item is believed to be unused surplus, with its original box and paperwork. It looks like it has been in and out of the box a couple times for inspection and has smudges and a few scratches on the body. It does not appear to have ever been mounted or hooked up.
The Bindicator Roto-Guard II is a switching device for sensing the reduction, increase or loss in rotational motion for many types of moving equipment. The unit can detect changes in motion between 1 and 260 PRM depending upon model selection. The Roto-Guard II may be coupled direct or driven through belts or chains. The unit has been designed to provide a trip speed when a 30% change in operating speed occurs. When the "trip speed" is triggered, an internal relay system provides signal for external alarms, lights or equipment operating interlocks.
