Optima Universal Optical Bench Top Grinder
With its clearly marked and easily operated adjustments, unskilled personnel will be able to grind drills repeatedly, perfectly and quickly to geometrical specifications suiting your requirements, with a minimum of instruction.
Point angle: 70 to 145 and 145 to 180 (different setting)
Primary cutting angle: 0 to 40
Secondary clearance angle: 0 to 40
Point thinning wheel: 6,800 rpm
On the OPTIMA the grinding and point splitting or web thinning are done in one operation. Once the thinning attachment is set on the first drill (Utmost Versatility) it always works to stops i.e. center of the drill regardless of the size of the drill (wheel change required below 1/16" dia.).
All adjustments can be made according to the drilling job.
Projector Inspection of Concentricity
To assure the utmost concentricity and self-centering point geometry, drills can be checked and if faulty (due to off-center flutes, worn shank or margin), corrected for their accuracy in one setting while the drill is still held in its original chucked position.
This can be accomplished by an unskilled operator in just seconds.
How long will it take to OPTIMA system to pay for itself?
Combining four machines in one (grinding, splitting, checking and correction process), the OPTIMA is the first and only complete OPTICAL DRILL POINT GRINDING SYSTEM with a built-in comparator that will find and point thin or split point thin of split point in one setting. Only the OPTIMA has a range from .0135" to 1.000" diameter.
