This is a new Philmore STJ500 500 watt 100/117 Volt Step Up/Step Down Transformer in its original box with operating instructions. The item was specifically designed to operate 100 volt Japanese products in the United States from 117 VAC power, or to operate USA products in Japan off of 100 VAC power. This size transformer would work on many larger computers, printers, video and audio products, cell phone chargers etc. You can operate multiple items from the transformer using an optional power strip. The transformer is supplied with standard 3 pin AC connectors.
