Joint, spherical, 50MM, ace 7646-16, lot of 3,

Ace Spherical Joints, Lot of 3
A set of three, unused, N.O.S. (new old stock) #50 Ace joints. No chips or cracks. Two of the three pieces have a short line from manufacture at some point on the tube. These appear to be very shallow and narrow air bubbles. They are between 1-2 cm long and difficult to see. The lines run directionally from the rim to the socket joint (not cracks - the lines are extremely narrow and straight; and do not nearly penetrate the full glass thickness, as a crack would). These are common due to the wide cylindrical area and the large size of joint. The spots on the glass, seen in the photo are from the camera flash.
These are not supplied with o-rings, still priced far below retail. These are designed to accept -229 o-rings.
These joints were designed by W. R. Doty of Chevron Research Corporation in Richmond, CA. The joints are tooled with groove to accept an o-ring and provide a greaseless, vacuum-tight connection. The joints are held together with 7669 or 7670 Pinch Type Clamps (not included).
$91.35, for product with an o-ring ($30.45 each)
