The switches are are push wired, with wire connections named L, 1, 2, and 3. The wire gauge for which they were designed is unknown. Assuming you won't be twirling them around your head, they will easily accept and hold a #14 solid. The wire contacts are a copper-washed brass color, and are nonmagnetic (will not attract a magnet). The rotor contacts are solid copper. The stem shaft is some kind of silver colored nonmagnetic material that is too heavy for aluminum.

These do not come with knobs, but a knurled toothpaste cap and a dab of epoxy seems to work well. But be sure and put a light coating of petroleum jelly on the switch shaft first, if you ever hope to remove it!
