The skids as shown were built to fit my Maytag Model 92. The skids are for sale, NOT the Engine. All of my skids are made from seasoned oak lumber, that I run through a planer, stain with a good quality stain and then put a coat of polyeurathane varnish on them. The cross bars will be drilled for screws, which I will include. You will need to drill the holes on the crossbars that fit your engine and purchase the length of bolts that you need to bolt your engine down. Notice that I cut dados for the cross bars to fit in, this makes the skids sturdier.
For the long frame Model 92, the skids are 32" long and the cross bars are 13" long and are centered at 18 1/2".
For the short frame Model 92, the skids are 30"long, crossbars are 13" and are centered at 12".
For the short frame Model 82, the skids are 30" long, crossbars are 13" and are centered at 12"
For the Model 72 engine, the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 15" and are centered at 9".
For the Model 72 engine, that has feet on the tanks, the skids are 24" crossbars are 15" and the crossbars are centered at 12"
For the Briggs 5 S engine, the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 13" wide and centered at 6". I understand that these size skids
will also fit the early model Clinton and Tech horizontal 3 and 4 hp engines.
For the Briggs model F with hand crank, the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 11" wide and centered at 12"
For the Briggs models F, FB, and FC with rope cup, the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 14" wide and centered at 12"
For the Briggs model S, the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 14" wide and centered at 7 1/4".
For the Briggs model M, the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 15 1/4" and centered ar 7 1/4 inches.
For the Briggs models WI, U, the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 12" wide and centered at 7 1/4".
For the Briggs model H (with original legs), the skids are 24" long, crossbars are 13" wide and centered at 7 1/4"
For the Johnson Utilimotor the skids are 20" long, crossbars are 9" wide and centered at 9 1/2 "
For a Gould water pump, the skids are 30" long, crossbars are 13" and centered at 8".
