Bio-Sure contains several types of laboratory enhanced digesting micro-organisms (bacteria).
While each individual type of microorganism cannot digest the compound of wastes found in a typical septic system, each one feeds on one type of material. Activated by water, they secrete special enzymes that split wastes into protein, cellulose, sugar, starch, fat and oil so each bacteria has its own special food type.
The enzymes facilitate the phase of metabolism in which complex compounds are broken into simpler ones. This in turn speeds the process of converting the food source (waste products) into available energy for the bacteria.
They are not limited by gravity to bottom areas of the tank. They move up and through the waist, multiplying as they consume the waist. While small, each will repeatedly consumes its own weight in waste.
Frequently adding the Bio-Sure product will help maintain an environment that will keep your system operating properly.
The introduced microorganisms are capable of exponential growth, doubling in numbers as frequently as every 20 to 30 minutes under ideal conditions.
The byproducts of this bacteria/enzymatic activity are H20 and CO2. (Water and Carbon Dioxide)
By adding Bio-Sure to organic waste, the following beneficial results can be achieved:
* Reduction of BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand)
* Reduction of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand)
* Reduction of SS (Suspended Solids)
* Foul odors and noxious gases are dramatically decreased, if not eliminated, by eliminating their source (organic waste)
Bio-Sure's bacterial concentrates are naturally occurring in soil and water, then special strains are selected that are:
* Facultative (capable of growth with or without oxygen) vigorous enzyme producers
Bio-Sure has numerous applications, anywhere that biological solids can build up.
Septic Tank with leach fields:
* Four pounds for up to 1,000 gallon capacity
* Two additional pounds for each additional 500 gallons through 2,000 gallons
* Beyond 2,000 pounds, two additional pounds for each 1,000 gallons
Following an initial treatment, periodic maintenance can help keep your system active. For a typical home, the addition of 2 tablespoons per drain per month provides adequate ongoing maintenance.
Drains can be treated with two level tablespoons of Bio-Sure, followed by one cup of cool water, at a time when the drain will have a non-use period of at least two, but ideally 8 hours. Normal use of drains will wash some of the product down the line, so treatment can be repeated for a number of days.
