The approx diameter of the dial head is 3 1/4 inches.
The temperature probe with threaded head measures approx 4 1/2 inches.
This piece has a reset button for calibration. We believe it to be stainless steel, but was unable to find metal verification markings.
This piece was purchased from a company that worked with plastics, composites, and metal.
The company had various ovens for bakelite products, we believe it was used for that purpose. We have kept it in our home for several days and the temperature seems accurate to the house thermostat.
On the back side of the dial is a threaded mount. This piece will not come with the mounting screw.
