To test the Sherline Tuff Nuts, we put one in a t-slot and hooked up a Sherline 3013 step block kit with the item being clamped and the step block right against the stud to protect the table. Then we tightened the nut until something broke. What let go was the 10-32 stud. Ripped the stud apart about 1/4" below the clamp nut.
