These units do not contain power supplies. They rely on transferring excitation
power provided by the vibration data collector or signal conditioner to
connected sensors. Since excitation power is presented to each sensor when
measurement channel is selected, the sensor s settling time (or turn-on time)
must be overcome prior to taking measurements.
