K45 is a tough WC/CO unalloyed grade. K45 has excellent edge wear resistance for machining austenitic stainless steels, cast irons, aluminum, copper, zinc, brass, titanium, nonferrous metals, nonmetallics and most high-temperature alloys.
The tool holders for the size #4 insert are series: NSR, NSL, NER, NEL and are available in square shank sizes of 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2". Boring bars have a series number of "A-NER4" or "A-NEL4 and come in shank sizes of 1-3/4" to 2.00".
