580K case backhoe 1988 extendahoe 2X2

runs good has plenty of power needs some wires replaced because the wire coating has broken off the battery is weak has new alternator and most of the rams have been rebuilt comes with 2 buckets about 12 inches and 24 inches it has a 4 in one bucket or clam shell is an extendahoe i have only had it for about 4 months and i am forced to sell it. the seat is in bad shape the tires have some weather cracks. the trans and motor all seem to be working good the posi button sticks down the ac pump has been removed and i don't know if the heater works or the lights and gauges because of the bad wires. it digs real good. it is listed on craigs list and ksl.com seller reserves the right to pull at anytime if sold.
the front bucket has a small crack that is few inches long in the bucket it can be easily welded but i don't have the welder were the backhoe is it would only take a few minutes to weld if you purchase it and want to bring it by my place i will weld it for free. the clam shell is bent a little it lets just a little dirt fall through if it is fine dirt and you hit a bump it never has bothered me. also the heater fan is missing but i have a fan that should work. also the back glass has 3 parts they are all good and the windows stay up one plastic tab is broken but the window still works fine the buckets are 12 inches and 24 wide. my son used it today and says he likes it better then the 416 cat backhoe that is newer. this machine is not perfect but it should last you for years.
the dome light bulbs and covers are missing and an air vent cover is missing also one of the lights on the back has a broken lens this is the only light i noticed broken but i may have missed one also the door latches don't lock shut all the time but stay closed and the shocks that hold them open are weak. the person before i bought it taped some of the windows open and put tape on one of the door latches but i don't know why and have not taken the black tape off to find out why. it looks like it is only to hold them open so maybe a latch to hold them back is broken. their are also a few wires not connected to anything or may have been disconnected because of the bad wiring i know i disconnected the wires from the starter so i would not ruin the new alternator with the wires that are shorting out that have no outside backing. i figured that that is why i had to replace the alternator. i didn't want to replace it again so i disconnected those wires just to be safe but it runs just fine i did this when i first got the machine. i have found out that if you have enough juice to turn the motor over fast enough it starts up fast without ether. but the battery is getting weaker i had to jump start it yesterday the weak battery did not have enough power to turn it over fast enough to start it. it is only a small car battery anyway. if you purchase it i would suggest that you purchase a new battery one large enough to start it or plan on giving it a little ether. i have covered about everything i can think of and that i know is wrong so you can make the best possible decision. the oils and filters should be changed when you purchase the machine. i did change the fuel filter last week. it ran fine just like normal most of the day yesterday leveling and plowing a block long road also digging and moving dirt ect.
my son just told me that the door latches probably just need springs they have to replace them on the newer machines all the time and that the window latches that hold the glass open are plastic and break all the time even on the newer models he runs back hoes for a living and says these are common problems so he is sure that is why they have the black tape on them also i just remembered that one of the moldings on one door needs around 8 inches at the bottom glued back in it just hangs at the bottom of the door. i keep forgetting to take some glue to glue it in or a knife to cut it off.
