The Model PC21 Indexer is a board-level product designed to be inserted into an open slot on the IBM PC system expansion bus, or I/O channel. Simple ASCII commands determine all motor functions and can be easily programmed from high-level languages such as BASIC, C, or PASCAL. Additional input and output lines, also controlled by the interface to the IBM PC, can initiate or monitor other external events.
With the PC21 Indexer, you can move a load to a precise position and stop, move at a constant velocity, move back and forth between two positions alternately, or use any combination of these moves. Complex sequences of these moves, time delays, status report-backs and additional action can be programmed through the IBM PC to control any Compumotor Motor/Drive system. The PC21 can also control any standard 200/400 step translator.
