This model is sensitive to reading radiation at low levels vs. other models (715, 717, or 720) that read at high levels, thus the 700 is not recommend for use in areas of high levels of radiation. The 700 is sensitive to reading lower levels of radiation and is good for radiation detection for everyday use; in homes, office, or just about anywhere.

This model is sensitive to reading radiation at high levels, the 25 foot cord allows for remote use (meter can placed in desired reading w/o being manned).
