This ad has a large photo of the Dictaphone Time-Master dictating machine. This machine uses a red Dictabelt to record on. This belt is a flexible plastic of some kind that the machine scribes on. The boss, using the attached microphone speaks what he wants the typist to type. The machine creates recording grooves on the Dictabelt just like the old vinyl records. The secretary later plays it back and types the letters. The photos in the ad are black & white except for the belt, which is red.
