Often times we find a need for items that are not manufactured elsewhere, so we make them in our facilities. This is an R-8 Collet Adaptor. Any sized R-8 collet can be used in any machine that will accept a 1-1/4 inch diameter tool. One of the most common machines that uses R-8 collets are Bridgeport type milling machines. Many companies already have hundreds of collets for thier mills. We thought it would be a great asset, to be able to use those collets in other equipment as well. Specifically CNC mills, and Lathes that can have toolholders that can accomodate 1.25 inch diameter tools. These adaptors will fit precisely in CAT40 and CAT50 holders, as well as any other toolholders for 1.25 inch diameters.
