We tested this copier, and though we had a little trouble at first, in the end it was operating great. When we first powered it on and tried to make a copy, the paper jammed going into the fuser. We cleared this out and found that the page had almost no toner on it. We checked the toner cartridge, and found that it is almost empty. We jostled the cartridge around to free up whatever toner may have been stuck to the sides or corners, then reinstalled it. At that point, we attempted again to make a copy of our generic test page, only this time it printed. The copy came out very clear and readable, so we had the machine make a double-sided copy. This time, the unit printed a perfect copy on both sides of the page.
Now that we knew the duplexer worked, we took the paper out of the top tray, and replaced it in the bottom. We then placed the double-sided copy we made into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). We set the copier to copy both sides of the page, and to make 10 copies. At this point, the ADF worked in conjunction with the Duplexer, and we ended up with 10, perfect, front and back copies. Also, according to the electronic counter in the menus, this unit has made a total of 308545 copies.
