Hatch***colored range chickens meat/layer

2 dozen (24) Colored Range Bird Hatching eggs. These birds are from my beautiful parent flock. The rooster happens to be one of the most beautiful birds I have ever seen!
Included in my flock are reds, red/grays, and tri colored hens (red/gray/gold). After speaking to the the breeder of my parent stock I have been told that they breed true to size and vibrance, but not to color. Your hatchlings will be 2nd generation and you may end up with additional colors such as white.
These birds were originally breed to be meat birds. They grow out in 9 to 11 weeks for a 5-8 pound bird. As adult stock my hens range from 10-12 pounds. You must be careful not to overfeed, they will eat on a constant basis is food is always available.
Colored Range Birds grow best when able to forage. They can be confined as long as you do not over feed. They breed naturally and lay HUGE brown eggs. If fed properly, your hatchlings will live a normal lifespan, you do not have to butcher them out.
The Range bird is very friendly and has a wonderful personality. We have a hen that jumps on my husbands shoulder everytime he goes into the coup to feed. They are not cannibalistic like hybrid crosses, nor are they as dumb.
Give them a try, you will love the taste and texture.
Sending a live embryo through the U.S Postal Service is *RISKY*
If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask. I am always happy to chat about poultry
If you are interested in other breeds, please ask. I also have live chicks of many breeds this time of year.
