This is not your run of the mill 6" AFS Sanders
This sander is made from AquaCast
It's a elastomer from Utah Foam. It's has a shore hardness of about A85. Just flexible enough for the side of most cars. It's not the kind of thing you'd use for motorcycle tanks or fenders. This is the kind of tool that will be passed down to your children.
It's been profiled after molding, so you can sand many different areas with the same tool. I use it for wet sanding, knocking down big chucks of mud, getting into tight corners, shaping body lines and sanding into coves and fixing up little spots. I've tested to heck out of this sander. And now I'm finally going to start selling it. It's what you'd expect from our company. We don't sell for the sake of selling. It has to work or we won't sell it.
