This is a full-size product advertising trade catalog, issued by the Chicago Pump Company of Illinois in 1928. It includes 25 different product advertising bulletins issued by the company, each with an illustrated title page (some of them use blue and orange color) with photos and full descriptions of each item; the bulletins are all numbered between 101 and 150, and have from 4 to 10 pages each. Roughly 200 total pages. Abundantly illustrated throughout with hundreds of b&w photos of products, installations, applications, detailed diagrams, drawings, and some blueprint plans. Some of the bulletins have b&w photos on the back covers of hotels, theaters and buildings of Chicago and other cities that used these products in construction. A very uncommon catalog - includes FIRE PUMPS.
Descriptive text throughout on features, parts, data, sizes, and overall engineering of the equipment. Includes bulletins on: FIRE PUMPS (12-page bulletin), sewage ejection pumps, single-stage and multi-stage, automatic electric bilge, float controlled, vertical type condensation pump and receiver, vacuum heating return-line pump and receiver, Flush-Kleen sewage ejectors, automatic alternator, control apparatus, and more. For use in cellar draining, circulating (hot & cold water, brine, swimming pool), house supply, sprinkler filling, tankless systems, etc. The first page has an index to pump styles and also to applications.
Decorated heavy-paper covers measuring 8.25 by 10.5 inches; covers have discoloring, sticker to corner, minor wrinkles, rubbing to top edge and along spine cloth; rear cover similar but with a 1.5-inch chip at top corner; spine cloth has worn away so page signatures are visible, but it is tightly stapled together and not coming apart or separating at all; all pages have some rippling, many pages have minor discoloration along top and bottom edges; the first two pages have some smudges and minor edge wear, the rest of the pages are otherwise clean. Condition is Good.
