The Magnetic Mouse is a tool used to snake electrical wire behind sheet rocked walls. This tool has been invented and tested by electricians. The Magnetic Mouse is the first patented magnetic wall snaking device. The Magnetic Mouse patent application was filed in February of 2003, long before any other snaking tool on the market.
This tool includes both a metal and magnetic tab. The magnetic tab provides extra strength with our rare earth magnet, where as the metal tab can be used in walls that contain metal studs. The preferred tab is dropped into a hole into the wall cavity you desire to wire. After dropping the tab, you maneuver the retrieval magnet along the outside of the sheet rocked wall until you locate the tab and proceed to the exit hole location. Our tabs are of limited size which makes it possible to snake to an existing box or even in walls that have existing wires. Last but not least, you are ensured a clean and scratch-free job with this product as it includes a felt cloth pad on the retrieval magnet for ultimate sheetrock protection.
