The Blue Laced Red Wyandotte is one of the rarest and arguably the most beautiful variety of this wonderful breed of chicken.

Our Blue Laced Red Wyandottes are sweet, gentle and beautiful birds... This superior line has been highly anticipated by us and we are very excited to be able to offer these exceptional fowl to you.
The Blue Laced Red Wyandotte is a dual purpose breed which sports buff/red plumage sharply edged in blue.......quite colorful, hardy, and productive.
They have a heavy body, clean legs and small rose comb... good assets for winter months. Cold weather doesn't seem to bother them in the least..
Blue Laced Red Wyandottes are not flighty and are also very hardy and energetic.
These chickens are well suited to free ranging as well as confined runs.
They are sociable and vocal, uttering soft clucks regularly and are a good choice for the pet chicken owner.
Blue Laced Red Wyandottes lay an average of 220 nicely shaped light brown eggs (often speckled in white) per year and will set on occasion.
Mature males weigh an average of 9 lbs with females averaging 6 1/2 lbs.......

THE COLOR BLUE: An interesting genetic characteristic of the Blue Laced Red Wyandotte is the return in the descendant of not only all blue chicks, but also the black, white, and black-white colors used in the earliest matings many generations ago to create these blue fowl. Andalusian blue genetics apply to this breed. All of these chicks carry the blue genes and when mated black to splash or with other blues in turn produce numerous blue progeny. Approximately 50% of the baby chicks will be all blue. The other 50% will be black, white, and white or black/white combinations (splash).
